(Solved) – Get reference to copied range in Excel [duplicate]

This question already has an answer here:

Do you know if there is a way to get reference to range that is currently copied into the clipboard (with ‘marching ants’ around it) in Excel by means of VBA? Preferably with standard Excel functionality without external libraries. Can’t google anything reasonable for this question (quite a few people already asked it, but responses are always non-relevant)

Consider the following example:

  1. User selected range A1:A2 on sheet1 and pressed Ctrl C
  2. User moved cursor to range A3 on sheet2

Assuming that CutCopyMode is still active, how does one get access to copied range to sheet1!A1:A2 in VBA only knowing the fact that it is copied?
